Reading Olympics is a celebration of reading that encourages you to read some amazing middle grade and young adult literature. The list of books include "classics" and new titles as well. The expectation is that you will read at least 5 books from the list before the Spring event.

 

This year's event will take place on Thursday, April 9, 2026.

The timetable for the competition evening includes:

5:30 pm Your child returns to Unami and reports directly to your first room assignment where they will meet up with his/her team’s chaperone and fellow teammates

6:00 pm First Round begins
6:45 pm Second Round begins
7:30 pm Third Round begins
8:30 pm Award Presentation over the intercom

 

8:50 pm Pick Up your child (Please consider carpooling at the pickup time.)
